Essex Millennium Lodge No 9729....... Nine years on

On Tuesday 25^th November 2008 In front of our APGM Gordon Sanders and a “packed” Temple our New Master W/Bro Ivan Kovler was installed into the Chair of King Solomon.

The Ceremony was delightful and a true Masonic treat enjoyed by all the attendees.

Ivan was with myself the main protagonist for the concept and founding of our New Lodge which has only been going for nine years. 

It was a truly wonderful experience to see the circle turning to allow a true freemason who commands the respect of all the members, take the reins of our Lodge for the ensuing twelve months.

The Festive Board also did us proud with over eighty seated; a sumptuous meal was partaken with gusto.

Two speeches were significant one by Gordon Sanders our APGM extolling the virtues of giving to the Essex Festival 2011 which our Lodge is well on the way to becoming a patron and another speech by Chris Cane of the RMBI outlining how well Essex Masons have been so instrumental in our overall contributions

The “Icing on the cake” was to all of our surprise when the rendition of the “Masters Song” was performed by Ivan’s two sons. This was such a dramatic and emotional moment for our new W.M. that his response was interlaced with tears of joy, and I believe that there was hardly a dry eye in the house.

Ok so that’s year nine, how do we follow that in year ten?

Well I guess you need to ....watch this space.
